Juvenal Perez, from Buenos Aires, and with 96 years of age has already lived four world championships in Spain: San Sebastian, Brazil, Lyon and now, he makes history at the World Championship of Athletics Master in Malaga, which ends today after having met to more than 8200 athletes. He is an example for our society. He has shown that sport does not understand age, but effort, perseverance and overcoming. Today, Juvenal, puts the finishing touches to this competition by running on the track in the 1,500m race. Courage!
Last Tuesday, September 11, Pérez made his debut in the 800 meters for his category of more than 95 years, where he obtained with total recognition the first place. This athlete took 7m56s to complete the total distance of 800 meters.
